I love Shiny Toy Guns unabashedly. I don’t want to get all mushy, but they just get me.
We Are Pilots is still one of my go to albums, and now I’ve listened to the pre-release of their third release, III, at least a dozen times in half as many days. ”Somewhere to Hide” and “Speaking Japanese” are particular favorites, but “Fading Listening” is pretty stellar too.
III officially dropped today. If you were a fan of their first effort, and regardless of how you felt about Season of Poison (released when, arguably, they weren’t really Shiny Toy Guns—Carah had left the band, she’s back this time around), you should give it a shot.
